Cutting my teeth hosting a Community Radio show back in the early 1990s with my friend Phil Turner, the bug bit and radio was a passion from then.

I acted as a stand in host on Alan Robson's NIGHTOWLS along with Jason Cook on Metro Radio and TFM,  getting to cover the show solo when Alan was on Projects or Holidays for a number of years.

After being offered a full time role at the BBC I took over the Late Show from Paddy McDee  on BBCs NEWCASTLE, CUMBRIA and TEES. I hosted the show for eight years until the BBC Late shows were changed to a networked show from London.

Hosting a Late Night Phone In was so much fun, you never knew where the conversation would go and who you would be speaking to.

I also got the chance to create and develop a comedy show "GRIN UP NORTH" to help find and give opportunity's to newer comedians and comedy writers to get their first chance to be broadcast and get those all important credits.
